NCERT appoints Surabhi Pranav as Counsellor for Students

The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) New Delhi has appointed Surabhi Pranav as the board Counselor to help students and their parents cope with the mental stress during COVID-19 lockdown.

Surabhi currently works as a Dean at the J D College of Engineering and Management and seemed to be the perfect choice for this post. Ever since the lockdown was announced a lot of people had a hard time dealing with complete isolation. WHO also recommended that people get regularly checked for psychological issues as being mentally strong is crucial during such testing times. It has also been observed that depression and anxiety is on the rise, so, to prevent any kind of stress on the pupil and the guardians, this move was announced.

Counselling services by Surabhi Pranav will be free of charge and for consultation one has to leave an email at surabhi.jdcoem@gmail.com. You can also get in touch via phone and call on 0712 2574188.

This is a welcome move by the board as even a few states in India have implemented free therapy sessions for the citizens. Being mentally strong will not help people get through this phase but also negate any chances of falling ill, as a stressed mind leads to a stressed body. Think healthy, stay healthy.
