Major Changes in CBSE Examination Paper Pattern for Class 10 & 12 in 2020

The education system in India is changing at a fast rate and is a change for the betterment of India. Recently, CBSE revealed a plan to change the entire examination paper pattern for CBSE Class 10 and 12. These changes are going to be implemented from 2020. This step will also have some major alterations such as

  • The papers will be based more on conceptual parameters rather than just focus on plain theory.
  • The vocational exams will be conducted in February and the board exams will complete by the end of March, as declared by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
  • The question papers would include more short answer questions of 1 to 5 marks. The major objective of this alteration is to test students’ conceptual and critical thinking abilities.
  • The new paper pattern once approved will be implemented starting from the academic year 2020.
  • It has also been proposed that the release of results will be made during the last week of April or early May.

All these parameters will help CBSE students to get more engaged in all their activities and thus help them to improve their personality.  It is likely that all these changes will be quickly finalised.

We wish that these changes actually make studies more engaging and fruitful. If you would like to know more about these changes, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our TopperLearning experts.
