Maharashtra Students Bag Top 3 Positions in JEE (Main)
The top three rankers of JEE (Main) are all from Maharashtra.
Wednesday proved to be a very nice day for three students from Maharashtra. The top three rankers of JEE (Main) are all from Maharashtra – Sankalp Gaur from Pune, Tanuj Kaza from Mumbai and Giridhar S from Pune. Gaur scored 345 out of 360 in JEE (Main) and 97.80% in his CBSE Class 12. Kaza got 335 in JEE (Main) and 95.85% in HSC and Giridhar scored 321 in JEE (Main) and got 98% in CBSE Class 12.
On the contrary, Gaur, the Main topper, was 56th on the JEE (Advanced) merit list, Kaza, who was 2nd in Main, was 45th in JEE (Advanced) and Giridhar was 84th in JEE (Advanced). The difference came when the collective scores were normalised.
A few CBSE students have also complained that their revised score after re-evaluation were not considered for calculating the final JEE ranks.
