Maharashtra SSC, HSC Board Exams 2021 postponed due to Covid-19: State Education Minister

Due to the increasing Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the State Government decided to postpone Maharashtra board Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) final exams. Ms Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra School Education Minister, said that the decision was taken after consultation with education stakeholders, representatives of political parties, and others. The State Government is considering alternative methods to evaluate SSC and HSC students and will also write to other boards, including CBSE and ICSE, to reconsider their exams.

The Maharashtra Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2021 were earlier scheduled to begin on April 29 and 23, respectively. According to the new dates, HSC Class 12 board exams will be held by the end of May and SSC Class 10 exams will be held in June. The new dates are awaited.
