As per the latest Maharashtra board ssc exam news, the State Education Department of Maharashtra, has cancelled the remaining papers of SSC Exam 2020 . This decision was announced on 12th April 2020 by the education minister of the state, Varsha Gaikwad. This decision to was taken after assessing the COVID-19 situation in the state and the rising numbers of positive cases.

One may also remember, that before the lockdown was imposed one of the students was tested positive during the SSC board Exam 2020. The student who was tested positive was unaware of his medical condition and sat for all the papers until he was tested. Keeping these factors in mind, the education ministry took the decision of scrapping the rest of the papers. Maharashtra state has the highest number of Coronavirus patients in the country and allowing people in one place with minimum social distancing, would only create problems. Thus, cancelling the exam seemed to be the only possible solution.

Along with the SSC exam, the state board has also cancelled the exams of Class 9 and Class 11. The lockdown was imposed on 23rd March 2020 and since then, exam dates had been revised twice. Now that the lockdown has been pushed even further, cancelling the exams was the only way out of this situation.

However, with this sudden cancellation, Class 10 students can introspect on their further plans and other classes can start preparing for the next class.
