Maharashtra Class 10 Results to be Announced

The Maharashtra Board Class 10 examination results for 2015 will be announced by the end of the first week in June.

A total of 17.32 lakh students have registered for the Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Board exams this year. Students from 21,009 aided schools appeared for the exams. This year, 6,875 differently abled students also appeared for the SSC exams. The exams were conducted in two shifts, i.e. the morning shift from 11 am to 2 pm and the evening shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The Maharashtra State Board has also changed the passing rules for Class 10 and 12 students, which would come into effect from June 2015. Under this rule, students need to score at least 16 marks in an 80-mark question paper. This new rule has been introduced to fight the situation wherein students with poor marks in the written exam could also pass a subject with the help of practical exams conducted by schools and colleges.
