Maharashtra board to delay announcement of HSC, SSC exam timetables

Timetable withheld to avoid overlap with elections.

It seems like the anxious wait for the time table of SSC and HSC exams by students across Maharashtra won’t end anytime soon.

Fearing a clash with the state elections dates, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has delayed announcing the SSC and HSC exam timetable. The elections in the state are due in December 2016 and February 2017. However, the dates have not been declared yet. . The HSC and SSC exams are expected to commence sometime in February and March 2017.

In a circular issued last Saturday, the Board confirmed that they are waiting for instructions from the election commission before announcing the timetable.
