CBSE announced the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) ranks for Paper I and Paper II today

The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) announced the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) ranks for Paper I and Paper II on Sunday late in the evening. The first round of joint seat allocation to IITs, NITs and IIITs is to begin on Monday.

Over 11 lakh students seeking nearly 34,000 seats in 85 technical institutes had given the exam. The admission process was delayed from 25 June to 29 June as the CBSE had yet to announce the ranks. This is because the Class 12 marks of many students were not sent to the Board on time.

The CBSE has also released a notification in leading newspapers appealing to the Higher Secondary Education Boards in the country to announce their Class 12 results. The CBSE will not be responsible for problems caused to the candidate if these Boards fail to do so.
