The JEE Main April 2020 exam that was scheduled on 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th April 2020 has now been pushed to a later date. The new dates have not be revealed yet and will be announced on 31^st March 2020, as per the public notice released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

This drastic move was taken in order to curb the spread of a global pandemic, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This virus which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan soon spread across countries and became a matter of global health emergency. With a disease so new and scary, and with very little measures to curb it. Government bodies from every nation have urged people to stay indoors, avoid mass gatherings and maintain overall social distancing.

Keeping all of these elements in mind and fearing a potential widespread community outbreak; the National Testing Agency decided to postpone the JEE Main April 2020 and their press release looked something like this:

The only silver lining amidst this crisis for the JEE aspirants is the gift of time. As students now have more time to prepare for the JEE Main April 2020 exam. This exam is crucial for the students who want to get into an engineering college this year. The January JEE Main 2020 was trial for many and the April batch decides the future of the students. Therefore, students now can dedicate more time to revision and to polish their skills.
