JEE Main 2022 Paper Analysis - 28th June (Shift 1 & 2)

Day 6 - 28th June 2022 JEE Main Shift 1 and 2 were conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, respectively, for Paper 1 BE/B.Tech. 1st Shift, 28th June 2022: Major Highlights

The JEE Main 28th June 2022 Shift 1 exam question paper received the following comments from the students:

● Students rated the Physics section as easy to moderate but Chemistry was easier.

● Like the previous day’s feedback,  students found the Maths section of the JEE Main paper lengthy. 

● The paper had mostly JEE Main specific questions.

The topics that were given the maximum weightage were:
Mathematical reasoning
Probability
Area of the curve

The question paper had more questions about Organic and Inorganic Chemistry.

Physical Chemistry was given lesser weightage.

The questions from Electrochemistry and Biomolecules were relatively easier.

Some of the topics that were given focus were:
Rotational motion
Current

The questions from semiconductors and POC were easier than in previous years’ papers.

Overall:  The paper was moderately difficult for an average student. The Chemistry section was easy as compared to the other two sections.

2nd shift, 28th June 2022: Major Highlights

The following statements have been received from students who appeared for the 2nd Shift on 28th June 2022 for JEE Main Examination.

● Just like the previous shifts, the Chemistry section mostly has NCERT-based questions. So the students could quickly solve them.

● The Maths section consumed the maximum time of the students. It was moderately difficult.

● There were several formula-based questions in the Physics section. However, the reasoning questions made the students think hard.

Key points

The reasoning questions were a little tough.

Several questions required lengthy calculations.

The section had special attention on Coordinates, Parabola, and Hyperbola.

The Organic, Physical, and Inorganic questions were evenly allocated. 

The numerical problem questions were relatively easy.   

Chemical name reactions were important in this section.

There were a lot of numerical problem questions that were mostly formula-based.

Some questions were tricky and required calculations and made the section challenging.

The section has a focus on Ray optics, Modern Physics, and Mechanics.

Overall:  The overall difficulty of the paper was moderate, and it was easy to score good marks for students who had thoroughly prepared the entire syllabus. The complete JEE Main 2022 28th June question paper and answer key will soon be available.
