JEE Main 2022 Paper Analysis - 27th June (Shift 1 & 2)

NTA conducted the JEE Main 27th June 2022 exam in two shifts. It was the fifth day of JEE Main Session 1 exams. The first shift for the JEE Main 27th June 2022 was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift was held from 3 pm to 6 pm. The question paper consisted of 90 questions, with each question carrying four marks. The students must note that every incorrect answer would cost them a 1 mark deduction. 1st Shift, 27th June 2022: Major Highlights

The candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 27th June 2022 Shift 1 exam had the following statements to make regarding the difficulty level of the question paper:

● The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate.

●  It was feasible to complete the paper in the given time slot of 90 minutes.

●  The Chemistry section wasn’t difficult and had fairly easy questions from the Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry chapters.

●  Physics was the easiest of all as it had several formula-based questions.

●  Maths, as usual, was lengthy and tricky.

Key points

The tricky questions made this section challenging.

Additionally, it was time-consuming too.

The Organic Chemistry section was covered relatively more than the Inorganic or Physical Chemistry section.

It was a balanced section.

Many questions were easy and did not take up much time.

Overall: The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Maths was time-consuming, but the students could efficiently manage their time owing to the easy Physics section.  

2nd shift, 27th June 2022: Major Highlights

● The paper had an average amount of direct NCERT-based questions.

● The Chemistry section had several theoretical questions from the Physical Chemistry section.

● Maths was the toughest of all and had many conceptual questions.

Key points

The questions were a little difficult.

Some had lengthy computations and made the section a little time-consuming.

The section covered practically all topics.

Questions from the Physical, Inorganic, and Organic branches were allocated evenly.

There were a lot of numerical answer-type questions that were mostly formula-based.

Some questions required lengthy calculations.

Overall:  The paper was not too difficult and could be solved by a student who had thoroughly prepared the entire syllabus. The easy Chemistry section was a delight for all. The complete JEE Main 2022 27th June question paper and answer key will soon be available.
