JEE Main 2020 Post Paper Analysis - 2nd September, All Shifts

The computer-based exam of JEE Main 2020 (B.tech) was conducted successfully by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 2nd September 2020 with all the security measures and students maintained social distancing. Aspirants from across the country appeared for the JEE Main examination. There are special trains started in Mumbai for students to travel for their JEE and NEET exam with valid admit cards as proof and guardians are also allowed to take special suburban services on exam days. Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh also promised free transport services to candidates via a tweet.

Equal weightage will be assigned to all three sections of paper: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Based on our reports, here are a few highlights of the paper:

  • Difficulty level of the question paper was moderate.
  • Both Class 11 and Class 12 have been given equal weightage.
  • Out of the three sections (JEE Main Physics, JEE Main Mathematics and JEE Main Chemistry), the Physics section was slightly difficult.
  • Most of the questions in Physics were numerical based and tricky.
  • In Mathematics Section the difficulty level of the questions were moderate.
  • Most of the questions in chemistry were theoretical. It was relatively easier than the other two sections.

JEE Main Exam 2020 Post paper analysis - 2nd September 2020 (Evening Shift)

The evening batch of the computer-based JEE MAIN 2020 conducted by the National Testing Agency on  2nd September 2020, maintained a similar pattern in the difficulty level as it did in the morning batch. The students who sat for the evening batch called the overall experience of the examination moderately-difficult. So, without much ado, let us discuss the highlights of the evening paper:

  • In the evening shift, out of the three sections (JEE Main Physics, JEE Main Mathematics and JEE Main Chemistry), the Maths section was slightly difficult and complicated.  
  • The difficulty level of the questions in physics was moderate
  • Most of the questions in chemistry were theoretical and based on NCERT textbook syllabus. The difficulty level of the questions were easy to moderate.
  • Level of the question paper was moderate.
  • Both Class 11 and Class 12 have been given equal weightage.
