JEE Main 2017 Results to be declared on 27th April

Tomorrow a lot of students with IIT aspirations will take a step closer to their dreams. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 results are going to be released on April 27. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will upload the results on the official website- jeemain.nic.in. This year over 10.2 lakh students had appeared for the main exam. The qualifying candidates will have to appear for JEE Advanced to get a seat in the IITs.

The Ministry of Human resource Development had notified the following changes for IIT JEE 2017.

1. There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the JEE main 2017 result and ranks.

2. For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE (Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Students should also note the following important points regarding the JEE Main 2017 results to be declared tomorrow-

  • The scores that will be released will comprise of marks obtained in Paper 1 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced)
  • The declared rank shall comprise All India Rank (AIR) and All India category rank.
  • Also, candidates score or rank card will be not be sent to them personally.

These are the steps to Check JEE Main 2017 Result online-

  1. Go to jeemain.nic.in and click on the relevant link on their page.
  2. Enter your basic details including roll number and date of birth.
  3. Click on submit button and result will be displayed in couple of seconds. You will also be able to check subject wise score.
  4. Download rank card for future use.
  5. Along with the JEE main 2017 result, your qualification status for JEE Advanced 2017 shall also be displayed on the same page which will highlight whether you qualified or not for the further examinations.
