ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2023 Post Paper Analysis Maths (10th March)

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) successfully conducted the Mathematics Theory Paper for students of Class 10 today, 10th March 2023.

This year, CISCE is back with its annual exam pattern which is based on the entire syllabus and so, let’s go through the paper pattern in detail.

The paper was of 80 marks which students were expected to attempt in two and a half hours. All questions in section A were compulsory whereas, in section B, students were expected to attempt only four questions out of seven questions. Each section carried 40 marks.

Now, here we decode the ICSE Class 10 Math Paper for 2023 with the final review and analysis for you.

Unit-wise Distribution of Marks

Algebra being the biggest unit had the highest marks and the maximum number of questions asked from this unit. Units Probability and Mensuration had the least number of questions asked. The distribution of marks was on similar grounds to what was provided on the CISCE website.

According to some students' reactions and experts' feedback, the difficulty level of the paper was moderate to difficult and doable in the allotted time. A few questions were tough and formula based but overall, it was a scoring paper.

The paper’s structure was exactly like the Maths Specimen Paper and the difficulty level was also on similar grounds. So, if the students have gone through the Sample Papers provided by CISCE, then they would be able to solve the questions.

Here is the section-wise difficulty level for ICSE 10 Math Paper:
