How Delhi government schools performed better than private schools in CBSE 12th exams?

The current chief minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal gives a lot of emphasis to the student. Being an alumnus from Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) he understands the true value of education. Since coming to the power, he has allocated a vast amount of Government budget to the education sector. While in recent years, the CBSE results in government schools have significantly improved to 2.32% as compared to the previous year. On the other hand, private schools have also shown a significant increase of 4.15%.

But however, most of the rankers were from public schools that have score highest which means it has surpassed the performance of private schools by leaps and bounds.

After the declaration of results, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia applauded all Delhi Government schools for better performance than the private schools. He also added that the government schools are far better and give a fair and equal chance to explore without actually posing some discrimination. He highlighted an example of Prince Kumar who has topped CBSE Boards with 97% of the marks overall, who is a son of DTC Driver.

Few Highlights on the performance of Delhi Government Schools:

  • In overall passing ratio in their boards, girls have performed better than boys.
