How Can I Score More in CBSE Class 9 Biology Unit Test & Term 1?

From a single cell to a complex, multi-cellular structure, the human DNA has been through a lot. Come on, you had to be at least a little bit curious about the process of evolution and how it happened. The CBSE Class 9 Biology syllabus is a good place to start. Step up your curiosity and plunge into your Biology textbook, anyway the Unit Tests are not too far away.

Do not like Biology? That’s okay too. As long as you get smart and study selectively. And just how should you do it? With the help of TopperLearning experts! Our SMEs are here to see you through this.

Step 1: Make a list of all the important concepts : While we mentioned selective studies, we did not mean that you can leave out chapters you don’t seem to like. Here’s what you can do: Make a list of important topics from each chapter, and keep them aside. These are usually the topics that your biology teacher emphasized upon in class.

Step 2: Develop conceptual understanding : Every concept has a definition. Try to break down the concept and understand it logically. Do not rote learning without understanding. To keep things fun and interesting, refer to our Class 9 Biology video lessons and watch the concepts come alive on your screen.

Step 3: Understand the CBSE science question paper pattern:

Step 4: Write to the point answers – In the upcoming Unit Test, you can expect 1 mark, 2 marks and 3 marks question. To fetch full marks for every question, you must write perfect answers. For 1 mark, you may have to answer in one word or a phase but make sure for 2 marks, you write your answer in whole sentences. For 3 or more marks make bullets and divide your answer in pointers, and write to the point. If you are required to write a definition, make sure you use keywords. Underline the keywords in your answer to emphasize them.

Step 5: Take a look at the most important questions – Our experts at TopperLearning have come up with a free webinar series on the most important questions for CBSE Class 9. Find the recorded version of the webinar on Biology embedded below:
