Haryana Board exams: Aadhaar card now compulsory for Class 10 and 12

HBSE feels the move with help combat illegal academic practices.

Following the steps of the Gujarat Board, recently, the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) announced that students of Class 10 and 12 must provide their Aadhaar Card details for the 2017 examination. Dr Jagbir Singh, Chairman of HBSE feels that said that students will benefit from this idea.

With the introduction of the Aadhaar card, the Board hopes to prevent the forgery of certificates. In addition, impersonation cases will also be prevented.
