Gujarat to get 6 New Engineering Colleges, Extra Seats

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi has given its nod to six new engineering colleges in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vallabh Vidyanagr and Navsari.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi has given its nod to six new engineering colleges in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vallabh Vidyanagr and Navsari.

In addition to new colleges, 7,164 more engineering seats will also be available for the academic year, 2014. So, the availability of the seats this year is 70,115 and about 69,741 have passed the HSC examinations this year.

AICTE was set up in 1945 as a national Apex Advisory Body for ensuring the overall development and management of technical education in the country.
