Government to Rate Academic Institutes

The Government of India is trying to develop a process of rating academic institutes.

By Admin 29th Jan, 2015 06:28 pm

The Government of India is trying to develop a process of rating academic institutes in a proposal to simplify the process of student loans. A list ranking the institutes will help the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to ease the entire process of providing and acquiring loans for higher education.

According to the proposal, students who are willing to join institutes mentioned in the list will be given preference to acquire study loans. Also, the loans can be obtained in a hassle- free manner.

Since 2010–2011, there has been a major rise in the demand for student loans. To minimise the risk on study loans, many banks are asking for the grading of academic institutes. The Government of India has come up with various other recommendations to enhance the education sector of the country.
