Go Dolphin Spotting this Summer

We’re sure that you must’ve made great plans for your summer vacations. However, one thing which you must try doing during this summer is dolphin spotting.

Maharashtra: In Maharashtra, Dapoli is a popular place for dolphin spotting. One can go to Murud beach and Karde beach to spot these friendly creatures. Tarkarli beach, Dabhol Port, Harihareshwar, Kuravde beach and Ladghar beach are also well known for dolphin spotting.

West Bengal: The Sundarbans in West Bengal are known for Gangetic and Irrawaddy dolphins.

Lakshadweep: The islands of Lakshadweep are great to relax as well as to spot dolphins in the sea.

Odisha: One can definitely view dolphins at Satapada Chilika Lake. It’s a beautiful place to watch the Irrawaddy dolphins flourishing here.

Karnataka: Devbagh, Kurumgad Island, Gokarna beach, Murudeshwar beach and Kapu beach in Karnataka are some spots where you can spot dolphins.

Puducherry: In Puducherry, beaches like Paradise beach provide you an option to watch dolphins. Boats take you to the dolphin spots. You can also sit on the beach and enjoy a peaceful view of dolphins jumping in the sea.

Gulf of Kutch: Take a boat from Okha Port and go to an island called Beyt Dwarka. The island has a spot called Dunny Point which is a great place to spot dolphins.

Assam: The Dibru Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary and the Brahmaputra River in Assam are popular sites for dolphins.

Kerala: In Kerala, beaches like Valparai, Cherai, Ettikulam Bay, Ezhimala, Calicut and Beypore are famous for dolphins. Go to one of these beaches, sit and relax while watching the dolphins playing at a distance.
