For the 2020 board exams, following are the changes made by the board for Maths.

Key Observations for Maths board paper: Refer to the table 

ü  There is no change in the unit-wise weightage of marks.

ü  There are no changes made in the syllabus for both theory and practical’s.

ü  Objective-type MCQs (Assertion & Reasoning) have been introduced.

ü  There will be no separate practical-based questions (PBQs).

ü  ‘Analysing and Evaluation’ and ‘Creation’ are new question types.

The Marking scheme adopted for the Mathematics paper for 2018:

  1. All questions are compulsory.
  2. The question paper consists of 30 questions divided into four sections A, B, C and D. Section A comprises 6 questions of 1 mark each, Section B comprises 6 questions of 2 marks each, Section C comprises 10 questions of 3 marks each and Section D comprises 8 questions of 4 marks each.
  3. Question numbers 1 to 6 in Section A are multiple choice questions where you are to select one correct option out of the given four.
