DU Cutoff Goes beyond 100%

The Delhi University cutoffs for undergraduate courses reached a strange level in the first list announced on Wednesday. The eligibility criterion of the cutoff for admission to certain courses at DU went beyond 100%.

For instance, students without Economics in Class 12 would have to score 100.75% in best-of-four subjects to secure a seat in Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) or Hansraj. Similarly, at Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College, an aspirant needs to have an aggregate score of 100.5% to get into the Psychology course.

This peculiarity is not restricted to just Economics or Psychology. Students applying for BCom in LSR and Ramjas, and Political Science and History in Hindu would also need marks which are 100% and above.

High cutoffs are no longer a surprise in DU colleges; in fact, the additional criteria of penalty clauses too have supported the trend of best-of-four subjects.

Here is the list of college cutoffs this year.
