Demonetisation makes authorities extend deadline for payment of SSC, HSC exam fees in Maharashtra
Students can fill forms now and pay fees later.
The parents of 22 lakh SSC and HSC candidates got much needed respite when the State Government announced that the deadline for payment of fees has been extended.
The candidates have been unable to pay fees due to shortage of lower denomination notes following the demonetization announcement on November 9. Maharashtra’s Education Minister Vinod Tawde stated, “No student will have to miss board exams because they did not have change to pay towards exam fees. Students will get time till February next year to pay the fees.”
