Delhi boy creates website to solve odd"even problem

Akshat Mittal is a saviour for Delhi commuters!

By Admin 07th Apr, 2016 02:26 pm

13-year-old Akshat Mittal is just another student in school, but out of it, he is a creative genius. Seeing the second execution of the upcoming odd–even plan on 15 April as a major issue for commuting among the masses, he has come up with a simple yet highly effective solution—a website called odd–even.com.

This website aims to help people find travel partners for car sharing/pooling to a common destination. “I always wanted to do something for the society. When the odd–even scheme was announced, I thought of making this website,” Akshat told the media.

As of now, more than 30,000 people have registered on odd-even.com. Akshat has been inspired by tech achievers like Steve Jobs and N. R. Narayana Murthy. He has also begun work on making an app for anti-corruption.

About the odd–even plan: Private vehicles with registration numbers ending in an odd digit will be allowed to commute on odd-numbered dates, while those with registration numbers ending in an even digit will be allowed to commute on even-numbered dates.
