CISCE Permits Students to Take ICSE, ISC Board Exams 2020 in Their Home City

CISCE has decided to shift board examination centre to students present location due to Covid-19

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has given students the permission to appear for their remaining examinations papers from an examination centres nearest to them. A lot of students had moved to their home towns during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown and may not be able to journey back to their original location by July.

After listening to the grievances put forward by the parents of the wards and looking at the number of students stranded across the nation, this decision was taken.

“The requests for a change in examination centres must be formally routed through the schools for where the candidates had been registered for the year 2020 examinations latest by June 7, 2020. Schools may upload such requests on the CAREERS portal of CISCE under the “Examinations system - centre transfer. No payment will need to be made for such requests of change of centre,” said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council.

Apart from the flexibility of centres, students who are in containment zones and will not be able to attend exams even in July 2020 will be allowed to write their papers during the compartmental exams. A detailed guideline for exams will be released by CISCE and will be sent to all examination centres shortly.

This brings a sigh of relief for all the students who were worried about their future regarding the exams. Students can now stop worrying and concentrate completely on their revision. Below is a list of study resources that will help the students during revision:
