CET to be held as per schedule in Karnataka

With the recent double leak of the II-PU Chemistry question paper in Karnataka, students and parents were demanding the rescheduling of the CET.

Students felt there was hardly any time to prepare for the CET. However, primary and secondary education minister Kimmane Rathnakar has confirmed that the CET for admission to professional courses will not be postponed. The dates of the exam remain 4 and 5 May, respectively.

“Students have adequate time to prepare for CET. So, we decided not to postpone it,” Rathnakar told the media.

Meanwhile, the Department of Pre-University Education will be conducting the Chemistry re-exam on 12 April.
