CBSE XII 2017 Results: Noida girl tops CBSE XII scoreboard, shines with 99.6 percent

The CBSE announced the class XII results of all its 10 regions simultaneously on 28 May 2017. With more than 16,000 schools affiliated to CBSE, Delhi alone had 2,58,321 class XII candidates. The total number of students that appeared for CBSE XII was 11 lakhs.

Raksha Gopal from Amity International School Noida stood first scoring 99.6%, followed by Chandigarh’s Bhumi Sawant (99.4%) and Aditya Jain (99.2%). Raksha scored 100 marks each in English, Political Science, and Economics. In History and Psychology, she scored 99 marks each.

Students can check their results on the official website of the board, cbseresults.nic.in. Candidates have to keep their roll numbers, school numbers, and centre numbers handy to download their results. 

In addition, a CBSE official also announced that 65 counsellors will be available on a helpline number to talk to students and parents between 8 am to 10 pm. Candidates and their parents can also call the toll free number 18000118004 for psychological counselling post class XII board results.

Re-evaluation of marks is available only in English Core, English Elective (NCERT), English Elective (CBSE), Hindi Core, Hindi Elective, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies, Economics and Accountancy.

As most of the candidates might be aware, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that CBSE would continue to give grace marks for 12th Result 2017 and 10th Result 2017.

Girls have registered a pass percentage of 87.50, outnumbering the boys whose pass percentage stands at 78 %. The CBSE all India pass percentage has decreased a bit to 82% as against 83.05% in 2016.
