CBSE Students to Get Marksheet in Digital Format

According to officials from the Information Technology (IT) Ministry, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is considering issuing marksheets and other certificates in the digital format along with hard copies. Students can now store such certificates in the digital format.

The modality to issue digital certificates is being worked out by the IT Ministry and CBSE. The digital certificates are likely to be issued in the next two months. The Ministry is striving to involve all the academic institutes in issuing the certificates, which can be stored in a digital locker.

The most number of users are from Madhya Pradesh (24,000+), followed by Uttar Pradesh (17,000+) and Gujarat (13,000+). Digital lockers were issued with an aim to provide relief from carrying files/getting copies attested or verified.
