CBSE Class 9 & 10 Curriculum 2019 for Science and Maths

Stepping into the academic year 2019–20, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a number of changes and has made modifications in the curriculum for Science and Mathematics for Class 9 and 10.

Key Observations for Science & Mathematics:

  • There is no change in the unit-wise weightage of marks.
  • There are no changes made in the syllabus for both theory and practicals.
  • Objective-type MCQs (Assertion & Reasoning) have been introduced.
  • There will be no separate practical-based questions (PBQs).
  • Analysing and Evaluation’ and ‘Creation’ are new question types.
  • Major changes have been made in the design of the question paper and in the exam paper pattern.
