CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Term 2 2022 Exam Analysis (7th May)

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Term 2 board paper today, 7th May 2022. The paper was based entirely on the reduced syllabus prescribed by CBSE and was a moderate question paper with few unexpected questions. There were 12 questions in this question paper.

So, here we decode the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Term 2 Paper for 2021-22 with its final review and analysis. 

Question Paper Structure-

For this academic year 2021-22, CBSE followed a reduced syllabus released on its official website. The Paper was divided into 3 sections A, B, C . These 3 sections had traditional very short answer type , short answer type, Case study types of questions respectively. The question paper is comprised of multiple choice questions that are asked from chapters ‘Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface chemistry, d and f block elements, Coordination compounds, Aldehyhdes, ketones and Carboxylic acids, Amines’. Total marks were 35.

Graphical Analysis of Chapter-wise Marks Distribution (CBSE 12 Chemistry Term 2 2021-22)

 

From the above graphical analysis, it is clear that ‘Electrochemistry’ carried most of the weightage. Case study question was asked from ‘Chemical kinetics’. Most of the questions were conceptual, very few numerical questions were asked.

Students and Experts Feedback-

We got some mixed reactions from students. According to some students, the chemistry paper was as per their expectations and they may get good marks for some students, a few of the questions have been moderate. According to experts, it was an easy level question paper with a few tricky questions.
