All You Need to Know About BCA
This is an apt course for students who wish to make their career in the IT industry.
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate course which focuses on computer application. With the rapid change in the IT industry, the need to have computer professionals in various organisations is also increasing day by day. This increase has created a lot of demand for Computer Application professionals in the industry.

The duration of the course is of three years, and major subjects and topics covered in the Bachelor degree include database, networking, data structure and core programming languages such as C and Java. This is an apt course for students who wish to make their career in the IT industry.
Eligibility
Any student who has completed Class 12 and has scored 55% can pursue the course. There is no such compulsion of having any subject in Class 12. Even students from Commerce and Arts can seek admission to this course.
Admission Procedure
Generally, admission is based on the Class 12 results. However, some government colleges and reputed universities conduct an entrance test to seek admission to their respective BCA programmes.

To survive in the competitive world of the IT industry, you need to possess good interpersonal and communication skills, good browsing techniques and many other features related to computers. You can seek various types of jobs such as Software Publisher, Finance Manager, Computer Programmer, Marketing Manager, Business Consultant, Database Administrator, Analyst and Software Developer.
Finally, if you don’t wish to directly take up a job after BCA, then you may go for higher education such as MCA or MBA to increase your credibility in the market.
