13 Lakh Students to Attempt CBSE Exam 2014

There is an increase in the number of students who will be taking the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 exam in 2014. The exam will be attempted by 13.28 lakh students, an increase of 5.5% from the 12.59 lakh students who attempted the exam in 2013.Of the 13 lakh students, 7.93 lakh students are boys and 5.35 lakh students are girls.
 
There is also an increase in the number of differently abled students (visually impaired, dyslexic, hearing impaired, dumb, physically handicapped, spastic or autistic) appearing for the exam. A total of 12,871 schools are registered for the CBSE Class 10 exam to be held across 3,253 exam centres.
