CBSE Class 9 Answered
You said that in a linear equation of two variables, a and b are not equal to 0, but in case 7x=-5 you changed it to 7x+0y+5=0 where b=0. How is this possible?

Expert Answer
Dear Student,
For a linear equation both a and b should not be simulataneously zero.
If one of them (a or b) is zero. Then the equation reduces to linear equation in one variable.
