Beta cells secrete insulin
Alpha cells secrete glucagon
Promotes synthesis of glycogen
Breaks down glycogen
Inhibits glucagon formation
Does not control insulin secretion
These give signals to blood cells like liver cells and muscle cells
Attach themselves to liver cells
