Agro based industries are those industries which uses agricultural products as their raw materials. For example cotton textile industry and jute industry are agro based industries because they use cotton and jute as their main raw materials. 
Mineral based industries use minerals as raw materials. For example iron and steel industry is a mineral based industry because it uses iron ore as its main raw material.
