ICSE Class 7 Answered
why was jesus christ crucified
Asked by tanukarya13 | 22 Apr, 2022, 09:43: PM
Lord Jesus emphasised on one God and gave immense importance to love, brotherhood and compassion. He fearlessly criticised all evil activities that were taking place in the Roman Empire. Thus, rich and powerful Romans became his enemies. They complained about Jesus to Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor accusing Jesus of calling himself the King of Jews and encouraging people to rebel against the Roman authority. Jesus was thus arrested and crucified.
