Transportation is important so as to circulate the necessary materials to the site where they are needed. It is through transportation that food and oxygen is delivered to all parts of the body. In addition, hormones, enzymes, vitamins, salts, waste products etc. also have to be taken from one part of the body to another, so as to enable the efficient functioning of the body.
