Why this mixture is called fused mixture in this paragraph.Please explain

Fused alumina (Al2O3) is bad conductor of electricity. Therefore, Cryolite (Na3AlF6) and Fluorspar (CaF2) are added to alumina which make the alumina good conductor of electricity and also reduce the melting point of mixture around 1140K.
This mixture is called fused mixture because these are in their molten state.
