why the filament made of tungsten glows and the wire made of copper or aluminium does not?

Tungsten is an alloy as such it has a high resistivity and high melting point and it glows brightly whereas cu / Al. are pure metals and they have low resistivity and low melting point as compared to alloys and hence do not glow brightly.
