why the angle sum property of a quadrilateral does not apply to a concave quadrilateral

A concave polygon is defined as apolygon with one or more interior angles greater than 180 degrees.it looks as if one or more vertex is pushed inside.some  diagonal of the polygon may lie in the exterior of the polygon.
