Why terminal alkynes are acidic in nature?

Acidity also depends on the stability of the conjugate base formed.
When terminal alkynes lose a proton, it forms an acetylide ion which a stable conjugate base.
As we know sp-hybridised carbon is electronegative in nature because it has 50% s-character hence it will hold the negative charge effectively.
Hence terminal alkynes are acidic in nature.
