Why sharp knife cut the vegetables faster than the blund knife .

Pressure is force per unit area. So, pressure is inversely proportional to force. Sharp knife has a smaller area of application than a blunt knife. If we cut vegetables with a blunt knife, a larger force would be required to create the pressure necessary to cut the vegetables. However, if we cut the vegetables with a sharp knife, less force  is enough to cut them.
