why recoiling of gun? And how?

Expert Answer:
When a gun is fired, momentum has to conserve as with gun as a system there is no external force. As the bullet moves forward, it carries momenttum in the forward direction and the gun get a backward momentum due to which it is jerked backwards in order to consercve momentum.
