why it is dangerous to jump out of a moving bus

When you are in the bus your body is in motion alongwith the bus. When you jump off, while your body continues to be in motion because of momentum, your legs hit the ground which is at rest. So there will be a tendency for you to fall over and injure yourself, if you jump off a moving bus
