CBSE Class 10 Answered

Why is the magnification in a plane mirror considered to be 1, and not 0?

answered-by-expert Expert Answer

Magnification = height of the image / height of the object

Magnification = 1 implies that they both are equal as we have in the mirrors that we use at homes.Magnification of mirror = 0 would imply that height of image = 0 thus  no image at all.
