Why is oxygen important to blood and to th cells?

Oxygen is only capable of breaking the glucose molecule and releasing energy. This energy is used by an organism to carry out various life processes. oxygen is carried to cells and tissues through blood only. Oxygen gas is only capable of keeping every organism alive hence oxygen is important to blood and to the cells.
