hydrogen behaves like both alkali metals(e.g. Na and K) as it shows the behavior like these metals by losing an electron forming H+ easily which reacts with non metals like Cl forming HCl and with other halogens forming acids. On the other hand H also has the ability to gain one electron to form H-(Hydride ion) like that of non metals like Cl and reacts with other metals like Na or K forming NaH. So Hydrogen is put in the reactivity series of metals.
