Why is dispersion not taking place in a glass slab?

In a rectangular glass slab, the refraction of light takes place at the two parallel surfaces. At the first surface, although the white light splits into constituents colors on refraction, but these split colors on suffering refraction at the second surface emerge out in the form of parallel beam, which give an impression of white light.
