Why ionic reactions are quite fast? Give an example of an ionic reaction.

Ionic reactions involve the reactions between the ions produced in solution. As the oppositely charged ions combine quickly, these reactions are, therefore, quiet fast. For example: reaction between sodium chloride and silver nitrate.
Na+Cl-(aq) + Ag+NO3-(aq) → AgCl(s) + NaNO3(aq)
