Why in the active state of the transistor the emitter-base junction acts as a low resistance while the base-collector junction acts as a high resistance?

It may be due to reason that Base -Emitter junction is forward biased and forward biasing the juncton offers less resistance and Base-collector junction is reverse biased and in reverse biasing the junction offers high resistance .
One may get confused that the base current is low and the collector current is high so how it seems contradicting But if one notice carefully Base-Emitter junction is in forward biased and electrons from Emitter are coming towards Base very easily.
The Collector-Base is reverse biased nad electrons from the collector are not coming towards Base. The electrons which are coming from Emitter to Base , only those electrons are moving towards collector. Think.
